Dr. Raffi Tchekmedyian hails from Huntington Beach, California, where he attended Edison High School before pursuing his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles. His inherent curiosity about the mechanisms of function and repair inspired him to become a physician. Dr. Tchekmedyian earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was honored with induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha society.
His postgraduate training took him to Harvard Medical School, where he completed his internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. It was during this time that he developed a deep interest in allergy and immunology, driven by a desire to enhance his patients' quality of life through comprehensive treatment of allergies, asthma, and immune system disorders.
In June 2024, Dr. Tchekmedyian completed his fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of Colorado / National Jewish Hospital program in Denver, Colorado, before joining the Modena Allergy + Asthma team. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of conditions including drug, environmental, and food allergies, asthma, eosinophilic disorders, aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD), urticaria, dermatitis, and immune system disorders.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Tchekmedyian finds joy in attending live music events, participating in activities such as hockey, CrossFit, and pickleball, and sharing barbecues with his extended family in the Los Angeles area. He is currently welcoming new adult and pediatric patients into his practice.
